Shots...

What a complete and utter WASTE of time!!!! In class right now, we are doing injections pt 1, viral shots... so that means flu shot... being administered by STUDENTS!!!!! 99.9% of the time we just use saline solution, which if great cuz even if you mess up how deep the needle goes your body gets just (.....) that much more hydrated... I like that part. but no, we have to give each other the stupid pointless, flu shot! APOLLO IS STUPID! 13 thousand dollars just to be out sick for another 2 weeks because my genius classmates cant give a shot correctly... im so looking forward to it.
Ya know, the flu shot doesn't even work most of the time! there are over 50 strains of the flu, the shot only covers 3... and then the H1N1 shot covers another, do a total of 4/50... ya, i feel safer knowing that... the only reason why everyone is so sick now a days is because no one eats dirt anymore... what i mean is we are so preoccupied with staying "germ free" that we forget WE NEED TO GET SICK!!!! otherwise we will be just like the Inca, killed by a cold. though, they were killed by mainly smallpox, whatever. point is flue shot and H1N1 shot both pointless,and yet i was forced to get H1N1 by my dr ("your in the med field, you need to get the shot...") and the flu shot via my peers... what next, casting unbroken limbs? -actually, i want to do that....-
Blah.
So on a lighter topic-
we figured out why im so sick... lead poisoning. Our bathroom is pained with lead paint so when we take a shower, our bathroom seriously oxidizes... ya... we bought enough TSP(some sort of smoke/lead/fungus/mold remover at Home Depot) to clean a volcano. now Bret gets to TSP the bathroom then put "Kilz" on the walls... don't know why he doesn't want to scrape it but he dont so he bought enough paint cover for 5 houses.... so thats what's going on in the Woodard world... When we get ready to paint the other rooms, i will let everyone know. :)

thanksgiving :)

so this year bret and i spent thanksgiving up in provo with his family. it was tons of fun! no snow yet, soon, like tomorrow its suppose to snow. we will see lol.
went to my first BYU game, and they won! 26-23! YAY!
now its off to temple lights then tomorrow we head home. :) still sick, dumb cold.... lol

Kitty's Medical Updates

As some people know via Facebook, i made another trip to the ER last night. I've been having rather bad lower abdominal pain and couldn't keep anything down for a full 24 hours. And as i kindly posted, Friday i got 2 teeth pulled and not being able to keep anything, not even spit, down put my pain above the medical chart 10. The combined the pain was a 50. So after talking to Amber, mom, dad, and Laurissa it was decided that an ER trip was in order. Due to a vertigo mix up at Desert Banner, I refuse to go there, so that left one of two placed, Gilbert Mercy or Banner Gateway. Well, we decided to try Banner Gateway, it's newer, faster, (according to the Haws family, thank you, you were very much right) and a lot cleaner. Bret was at work most of the time i was in there, and mom was with her, the whole time. I wanted Bret there as fast as he could get there. Bret not having anymore time off for sick leave really bites when things like this comes up. Back to the story. me and mom arrived at the ER around 1:30pm. i was the 3rd person in line, 3rd!!!! Only 2 people ahead of me, and right when i was called, i immediately got a room. The nurses were extremely nice and sweet. They didn't get me an IV, pain meds and blood draws until about 3:40pm. They had to check my Urine sample, which was more than my little dehydrated body should have given up, but i did it. i got a pelvis exam, ultrasound and an inner-ultrasound. Took forever to get the ultrasounds done, and i swear i saw something on the screen, Bret told me i was right, i saw my body on the screen. Well, i got some anti-nausea,2 doses of Morphine, and 2 fully drained bags of saline solution. Ya, i was loopy. To prove it, Laurissa texted me, and i thought it was Bret!! Sorry Laurissa, you're a good person, but Bret's not you. lol After many tests, and many hours in the ER, we finally got a result. i had 2 Ovarian cysts, and 1 ruptured. Now if you remember back to July, The same tune was playing then. i have a number for a Gynecologist I'm suppose to call, they are suppose to talk to me about what may help and how to prevent and what not. I hope things go well. We thank everyone for their texts, phone calls, and messages expressing concern. We're far from out of the clear, but soon, we hope to be a lot healthier. Thank you again.

The Doctor's Office...

Technically, it's a dental office, but same diff. Today, i got one of my LAST treatments done before all my teeth are fixed and finally normal cleanings can begin. I got 2 teeth pulled today, right next to each other... he pulled one out and the other FELL out! he didn't even need to use the "fancy" tools, nor give me stitches! Just pulled out one, and plop! the other came too. He missed his buddy i guess. So now, my right side of my face is swollen, my pupils are dilated due to the vicoden, and my stomach is growling... and i cant eat for another... well until i stop bleeding for more than 30 mins... it has slowed, in the past 2 hrs since they were pulled, my gauze have gone from being soaked, to just kinda soaked with blood. Nothing is numb anymore either, so yes, i hurt... BADLY! even with the vicodens and ibuprofens in my system, i still hurt.. it sucks.. cold pack is on my face for the swelling, but the pain!!!! AHH!!!! at least i only have to endure this once more... Dec. 4... the last tooth will be pulled, then in Jan. i will get my mouth guard for sleeping, apparently i grind my teeth and clench my jaw shut when i sleep, how Dr. Brenchly can tell that is beyond me, but i'll believe him. so if anyone has extra jello, soup and doesn't taste too bad when cold (cant have hot till monday, just to be safe, no stitches just blood clot) or anything else that doesn't taste too horrid when cold, and they love me enough to bring it over to the house, PLEASE DO!!!!! :D I love visitors, you may even get employed ;) just kidding... maybe...

at last, i keep having trouble with my eyes staying open, so i will end here and go to sleep. call/txt me if you wish, cant promise ill answer, but i will try.

Home!

So we are mostly moved into our home. Thank you everyone who has helped thus far.
Sadly some illness has plagued the house. Bret and i are sick... no im not pregnant! so dont ask that. We dont know what it is exactly... but we both hope whatever it is goes away... FAST! thats all for the update...

"And the battle rages on"

Okay, It's rant time... bare with me. Just remember, NEWLYWED, i will rant forever until I'm placed in ground cold and dead.. at the moment I'm half there... it's too cold to be called Arizona...
I am officially tired of the home buying process..
I'm officially tired of being poked with needles at school only to give up a quarter vial of blood EVERY TIME!
I'm officially tired of the cold weather.
I'm officially tired of having nothing to do because i don't know what's safe to pack and what's not.
I'm officially tired of people saying "Obama this" or "Obama that" crap.
I'm officially tired of AHCCCS calling me telling me i need to get my "yearly exam" done when it's been done since JUNE!!!!!
I'm officially tired of being tired.....

At least i tried the freeway last night.. scariest moment of my LIFE! i was stuck next to a big rig for a quarter mile before my exit came up... I drive a Semi's poop... they CAN'T SEE ME! So yes, i was scared out of my wits driving next to one. Then it got worse... I peeled out on the off ramp BY ACCIDENT because i first stalled and had 4 cars honking and yelling at me.....

If you hadn't already guessed, we are back in the air on when we are signing on the house.. could be today, tomorrow, next week, 5 years.. WE DONT KNOW! And it's really starting to bug me..

On top of everything, my jaw is killing me... literally. the pain wont go away! i already took 2 vicodens, and still, it hurts.. There better be a HUGE lesson i learn at the end of this or else the Lord has one funny sense of humor....

Moving on....

Moving on, a term normally used when forgetting or getting over something else, but as for the Woodards, it's all about moving out of our apartment, and into our house!!!!
Today around 3pm we are suppose to sign on our house, finally! We are very excited that it is finally happening, but yet very scared, because that means we really have to buckle down and scrum this apartment clean! EWW!!!!

But we will be moving nevertheless before this saturday, we HAVE to give up our keys on Halloween, and yay! I'm excited! No more elephants upstairs making racket, dropping ashes on my head when they smoke, and best of all, I DON'T HAVE TO TOW ANYMORE CARS!!!! :D Ya, I'm excited. :)

On another note...

I made a chicken and potatoes dinner yesterday night before i left for school, and it was YUMMY!!!!! I'm really happy we have the food network channel, because I'm learning and writting a lot of recipes down and cooking them! :) I'M COOKING!!! YAY!!!! lol

OK, that was all the good news we have.

Being 20...

So yesterday was my birthday, and it was AMAZING!!!! The night before i get home and the apartment smells like cake.. yummy... and bret wrapped presents and such for me! so i opened them and cried like a baby cuz of the card to gave me.. i swear he likes making me cry ;o)

Then we went to bed... i passed out lol

I was rudely awoken by the smell of bacon and eggs and bret saying "kitty... wake up.. why are you sleeping!!!" lol i got breakfast IN BED!!! WAHOO!!!!

then bret went to school, i went back to bed, eventually woke up and did a little cleaning and got all cute. when bret got home he took me out for a late lunch early birthday dinner, to olive garden :) then it was back to change for school...

well, i was in school a total of 10 mins before the teacher kicked us out, she had nothing for us to do, and we were too far ahead the other classes to continue laying vampires. so we left. bret came got me and i changed clothes, again and then we went and got massages at Apollo college!!!! it felt amazing!!! I STRONGLY suggest getting one there! they are so good and man is it cheap!!!! $25 :) then bret takes me to moms and poof, a surprise party!!!!! that was way fun to have the kids al help blow out my "candle" it was really a match lol. then we came home, and passed out. and now, IM 20!!!!!! :oD

It's my birthday!!!!

Well, really its tomorrow, but still! I'm gonna be 20!!!! I'm excited! Wait... this means I'm TRUELY an ADULT!!!!! YAY!!!!!... wait.. BOO!!!!!!! means i have to pay taxes... lol meh. I will post more information about my birthday celebrations and such when it happens, IF it happens ;)

WE MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's official, I am now a full fledged Woodard and I couldn't be happier!!! Well, if i had my house and my puppy and stopped stalling in the Mini i would be happier... but those are just tiny things... lol

So the wedding was beautiful! The above pictures were taken by Bret and my friend Ashley Brockmen, we love them! the top one is my favorite.. :) I was SO nervous! but once i got in there, dress on, Temple ready, and sitting next to Bret, all fears were washed away! Then we went through the sealing and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!! I didnt cry till mom got up and started crying.. but the room was PACKED!!!! And man was i hot! thank you Scott and Jodi for having water ready for me when we got out! :D
When we left the temple so many pictures!!! Our eyes hurt the rest of the day i swear! But everything was perfect!!!!
The reception was so beautiful! we were kind mad that we had so much delicious food, and couldn't eat any of it! our line was only suppose to be for an hour... it was most of the reception... lol but we danced, and i danced with my dad, and christopher, morgan, jon, hunter, preston, emma, bailey, hayden, lexie, sara for like 2 seconds, it was really fun! then we cut the cake, i told bret to be nice with the dress being so beautiful and all, man was i mean to him though! lol i cleaned him off though :) then it was off to our honeymoon and PHX airport! and We thank Jodi and everyone else who partook in decorating the Mini, which i have yet to wash off by the way lol. When we got there we went through security, and i beeped due to the 50 bobby pins in my hair, so i had to do one of those stupid searches. meh. the plane ride was ok, couldnt really sleep though, only 1st class got pillows, which was dumb!!! then in alanta we switched planes and then off to Orlando Florida! once we landed in Florida we got on a bus to the cruise, and then before we knew it, we were on the cruise ship getting ready to set sail!

once on the cruise, which we couldnt even feel the waves, we went to our first night of dinner, and met our dinner buddies! more pictures will come when i get Brets camera pluggen in.. i forgot it at the apartment lol. But ya, we had lots of fun and they SANG to us!!!!! it was totally cute! then we went back to our room and passed out!!!!! the next morning we docked in Nassau, Bahamas. It was a beautiful day in Nassau, our cab driver was LDS too! It was really cool! :) We went to Atlantis, and man was everything EXPENSIVE!!!! so we didn't really buy much... or have much fun... We did get asked if we wanted to smoke crack by a "law abiding citizen" looking fellow. We gladly declined... lol we did buy me a nice sunday dress that when i put a white shirt under, i look like Bell :) then we came home. Nassau wasn't all that great to be honest.. and the beach kinda.. stunk.. badly.. lol

Then we were off to Castaway Cay, pronounced Castaway Key... why i dont know but it BUGGED ME!!!! but that was the BEST part!!!!! There was an adult only beach, and hammocks and umbrellas everywhere! it was so quiet, and just peaceful... the water was so BLUE! and just looked amazing, and it felt amazing!!! we found a sea urchin, and it liked bret... a lot.... lol then we had a day at sea and we just slept, played for like 10 mins in the adult only pool, slept some more, and then had dinner. lol the next morning we got back into port and off to the airport for our "shuttle" to take us to out hotel.
Our beautiful "shuttle" was really Bret's friend Natalie, and her wonderful Toyota Pre-runner extended cab truck :) when we got to the airport, Natalie was holding a sign with our names, and i was like thats us! she gave me a box that had TONS of white(fake) rose petals in it.. i was curious and opened it, and it was a pink glass slipper with "Bret and Kayla", "09-19-09", and ""To my beloved Kitty" etched onto it. Bret's 1st surprise for me. :) i was so happy!!! Natalie took us to our hotel, we ditched our stuff and then it was off to Disney World!!!!!! YAY!!!

Disney World was so fun!!! I even went WILLINGLY onto Splash Mt... and yes i did freak out when we got to the top... but i survived... We went on the new pirates ride, and guess what... WE DIDNT GET STUCK!!!! MAHAHHAHAHA!!!!! The curse is broken! (at least thus far) we also did the Tiki Room, which was kinda lame.. i'm sorry to those that like it, but no... lol We also went to Epcot center on day 1, and it was so cool! they had 13 "visiting" countries in which you could test food, and we visited Japan for most of the day, and man was Bret happy!!! He could speak freely in japanese and we got to try sushi, which i only had a cali roll and a beef roll, i dont remember the name of it.. but we bought a lot of Yaki Soba, which is basically like ramen noodles, but WAY better!!!! and i bought Bret some things to remind him of Japan and just cute little things for us. We got a japanese shrine to bring happiness and take away contention in our home...

Day 2 at disney world was the mostly shopping, then we went to Animal Kingdom and we rode some fun rides, one ride, the Dinosaur ride, based off the movie Dinosaur, was so fun, we went on that ride like 5-6 times lol we only got stuck twice.. lol then back to disney world for Mickey's not so scary halloween party, which was super fun!!!! the Headless horseman rode through and then there was a parade and one of the lost boys came up to me said congrats, was so sweet, then pulled my hat down and made everyone laugh lol. it was fun though. and we went trick or treating, we were dressed as honeymooners. :) lol perfect right? lol

day 3 was Sea World, which to be honest, wasn't that great.... like at all.. only 3 rides, and one was a water ride, and the other 2 were roller coasters that i refused to go on... so went to olive garden and got foods went back to the hotel and ate then passed out watching Gone in 60 Seconds. a sin, we know... lol

Day 4 was also sunday, so we decided to be like the Lord, we took a day of rest :) we only left to bed to turn the air colder, get drinks, and use the restroom... lol we had a lazy day and it was awesome!!!!

the last day we went to Sea World and had fun. we watched shows, mainly then rushed to the airport to catch our plane. lol

US Airways sucks, you get free drinks, but have to buy a blanket??? makes no sense.. like at all lol. then Aaron and Emma kindly came and picked us up from the airport and brought us home. It was so nice of them! :D

Thank you to everyone who had helping hands in the wedding, reception, and clean up! We really appreciate it!!! So now we are back in reality... sadly...

BUT- tomorrow we are going to the Brad Paisley concert, friday round noon we are leaving to Utah to go to Saturday's conference session, and then coming home sunday, and guess who gets to drive most of the way.. ME!!! im so not excited for that... like at all.. lol anyways, I'm sure this post is already long enough and you all have better things to do, so i will now release you from reading. :)

Temple Blessings

So Kat got her endowments last Saturday! She was so nervous! It was actually kind of funny to watch her wide-eyed face take everything in.

She has been having a hard time these past two weeks between friends and stress and of course those pesky emotions. It seems like every night is a melt down night from that deadly combo. Many friends have started saying they don't understand her changes, that she is a totally different person now. She feels hurt of course, these were her family members while she was away at school. I think the endowment really opened her eyes,and being there with people who love her really helped her out.

Thank you to those who were there to witness Kayla's special day and for being her crying shoulders. I'm sure her tears aren't done flowing yet, she is after all still a girl. :o)

She just bailed on me.. good thing i knew she would so i asked my amazing friend Bonnie to be my Maid of Honor. :) At least now I have someone who is HAPPY to have that position. Really though? 9 days before the wedding she bails, because she had to buy a brown skirt and pink top????? REALLY!?!?!?!?!? Not to mention that because she couldn't go into the temple, she though it would be wrong if she was my MoH... She forgets... the Best man isn't LDS!!!!! REALLY!?!?!??!?!?!

Countin Days...

Nine days and counting! I can't wait!!!!! :) Bret is super excited, I'm beyond excited, I'm beyond words of joy!!! :D YAY!!!!!!

A Hard Weekend to Swallow..

Our weekend started off GREAT! D-Backs game, Seeing Gonzo, then the concert,just total happy making moments, and then the phone call...

"Kat, It's Carol. I just wanted to let you know that Dayna passed away this morning. She had a bad seizure, and she didn't wake up this time."

Then the texts started coming in about Dayna passing away..

I didn't believe it, the girl i just told was a dork because she wrote a new song to Book of Mormon Stories and how it was about the Laminites killing Obama was a dorky move for a talented writter, was now dead. SO what did I do? I got on facebook to confirm it. I knew her mom would have said something, and sure enough, Her mother did. "How does a mother say goodbye? She can't..."

So me and Bret drive all night up to Thatcher to be with friends as the news spreads. We come home Sunday and of course mom is mom. "I'm so glad you can find the time to go be with your friends right now. Glad you can be everyone's shoulder, but you can't be home."

Then today, i go to my dental appt, and guess what! THEY DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! Nothing! ok, they did do X-rays, but thats it. They can't pull my tooth because i need 4 root canals, crowns, deep cleening, and a bunch of other things, oh and because I'm 2 months away from being 20, so i have to go to a general dentist and got refered to a specialist for the root canals. Those of you who know about AHCCC knows that they pay for nothing! YAY ME! So ya, needless to say Its not a good week.

OH! Forgot the best part...
I get all the info on where Dayna will be buried and all that, which will be in Thatcher this friday, and i tell mom this and she says, "Well i dont think you should go because she's not family. She's just a friend. You have to learn to distance yourself from your college friends, they will only pull you down." Thanks mom for telling me to ditch the family you said to grow while i was there. I'm not you, someone who can drop people like a rock when ever they want. I grow bonds that take TIME to end. But hey, I get it. Nothing matters more then Kirsha and Greggs marriage!(or lack thereof)

So ya, if I'm short with anyone, sorry. Not the best of weeks for me. SO bare with me on this, ok.

YAY! Wedding is drawing nearer and we are so excited! Everything is falling into place and it's just amazing! SO ya, back to letting everyone read about us and yay! lol I'm done.. lol
